hope you like this excerpt.  the plot takes a twist that readers seem to enjoy.  agents have told me that the book misses a "target market" because it looks like a children's book, but the language is "too difficult" for children.

i have found that children love the sound of the words and the rhyming, and of course cathe's wonderful pictures.  and they GET the story!

i think many adults forget that children are not "smart pets", but "small humans".  raising six kids taught me that they'll pretty much do whatever they are expected to do.  expect more.

besides - i think anyone who reads to kids should have fun, too!

if you like it, you can purchase a copy from the authors.
